After a quarter of a century together, Sylvester Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, are getting a divorce. And to many, it’s not exactly a shock, all because of a tattoo the action star recently had erased.
It’s official, Sylvester Stallone and his wife of 25 years. Jennifer Flavin, are calling it quits. The 54-year-old former model filed for divorce from Stallone in papers obtained by Inside Edition.
They have three daughters who were all Miss Golden Globes back in 2017. Rumors of marital woes surfaced recently, when Stallone changed a tattoo on his arm, depicting his wife, into the image of his dog Butkus, the famous bullmastiff from the Rocky movies.
Stallone’s reps had dismissed the tattoo alteration as much ado about nothing, but now we know the truth. Just seven weeks ago, the Stallone family was out celebrating his 75th birthday, and looked in fine spirits.
Jennifer Flavin also recently posted this photo in a group hug with her daughters with a cryptic message. ”These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever.” Today Stallone said, quote, ”I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”
Other signs point to a potential nasty divorce. In divorce papers obtained by Inside Edition, Flavin’s lawyers declare the marriage, ”irretrievably broken” and accuses Stallone of the ”intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets.”
“He was wealthy before he married her, but his fortune has definitely increased during marriage, so there’s going to be plenty of money to divide,” says top family law attorney Christopher C. Melcher.
There is a 22 year age difference between 76-year-old Stallone and 54-year-old Flavin.
