Sarah A. Stecker
Sarah A. Stecker joined Walzer Melcher after more than six years as a family law associate with well-respected family law firms. Ms. Stecker has successfully handled a variety of practice areas including dissolution of marriage, child custody and support, spousal support, property valuation and division of property, post-divorce issues/support & custody modifications, and preparation of premarital and post-marital agreements and domestic violence restraining orders. Clients value her empathetic listening skills, calm demeanor, and active pursuit of practical solutions to family law conflicts.
Early in her career, Ms. Stecker possessed a passion and dedication for working with clients to resolve legal disputes. She has experience as a Mediator with the Center for Conflict Resolution in Los Angeles, where she was awarded ‘Case of the Year’ by the LA County Board of Supervisors. Ms. Stecker also volunteered for the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law, providing family law services to low-income men and women throughout Los Angeles. She has also worked with the Disability Rights Legal Center at Loyola Law School, her alma mater.
